Dr. Climent Molins (UPC) is interviewed in relation to the project of a new floating offshore wind farm at the north-east of Catalonia called Tramuntana at Cap de Creus . Some local authorities and conservationists oppose to the project of the wind farm due to potential environmental impact that would suppose the farm in terms of visual impact and at the biodiversity as it is planned to be build close to a natural park.
However, during the interview, Dr. Molins supports the construction of a pilot park to study the actual impacts and possible mitigation plans. Climate emergency is a fact, and all the technologies must contribute to C02 reduction, and the largest offshore wind resource location in Catalonia cannot be dismissed.
