The Departments of Energy and Interior presented a collaborative plan aimed at accelerating the development of offshore wind in the U.S. Its objective is to achieve 86 GW by 2050 supporting 160000 jobs, avoiding billions tons of carbon emissions and reducing power sector water consumption by 5%. One of the instruments to achieve it is a five year extension of the tax credit benefit for wind and solar.
At Windcrete we are thrilled for the opportunities this government support brings to take advantage of the vast offshore wind energy resource in the U.S. We think it can benefit in the near future from our reliable and economic technology that can speed the construction process, reduce require studies and both construction and operation costs.
